Research and Development is one of the most important and key departments within Thesis.
We have a number of products in different stages of their lifecycle:
- We maintain three established products:
- QL in the UK.
- CAMS in North America.
- EMS in North America and Europe.
- We develop and maintain our global flagship Student Management application.
- We are finishing the development, and are about to launch, Elements - a new application focused on smaller schools in North America.
In addition to our products, we have recently launched a set of supporting shared services:
- Integration Platform - based on Debezium Azure Container Instance, Azure Event Hub Namespace, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus and Redis to allow integration via Azure Service Bus to and from our products.
- Identity Services - a native Azure application built to enable federated single sign-on for our applications.
Across all products, we work with various departments, partners and stakeholders - from Support, Customer Success, Product Management through to Industry/Statutory bodies, to ensure that our software is high quality, feature-rich, compliant with all statutory regulations, and integrates correctly using the applicable interfaces.
Our products use different technologies, with our newest ones being developed within Azure (Hosted or True SaaS), running on Micro Service architecture and Azure App Services, Azure SQL, C#, REACT, Redux and Restful APIs to deliver a modern, scalable and enjoyable user experience.
Within R&D, our teams operate using Agile methodologies (SCRUM and SAFe) using industry standard tooling (DevOps/Git for both source control and work item tracking) which enables smooth and repetitive iterations of our software, taking input and prioritisation from Product Management and reporting on progress via various review boards.
We are keen to find the best talent, and are committed to ensuring that any prospective applicant is successful in using their core skills or expertise in higher education, release train, business analysis and technology to continue the growth of our R&D team and our stature within the Education sector.
